Increasing the efficiency of Condensing Coolers

During the last years daytime temperatures had the tendency to increase - presumably due to climate changes - to values exceeding +40°C. To cover these maximums - which occur usually only around noon - with a sufficient cooling performance two parellel high-pressure pump-aggregates with frequency control have been installed.
Each of the aggregates deliver some 100 litres/min with a power rating of 22 kW. The system is controlled by means of a sensor on the roof which provides current values for air temperature and relative humidity. From these measured values the needed pump parameters will be calculated and the pumps are provided with the needed feeder volume and optimal nozzle feeder pressure. This control function is operating continuously.
Whenever outside temperature drops below +20° C or outside humidity rises above 70% relative the system will be shut off. Controlled fogging will start at a (programmable) temperature of +25° C with a nozzle pressure of some 35 bar.
Full pump performance which is delivered at the power rating of the driver motors will be reached only during peak temperatures. In contrast to conventional systems which will always operate at full power our system provides an adapting power concumption which guaranteed economic performance and a extremely long life expectancy of all components.

right: as the capacity of the groundwater wells was not sufficient for peak performance three additional storage tanks @ 5.000 litres are installed

Programming 2011, at start of full operation
Switch-Off: below +20°C resp. above 70% rel humidity
Start of Control at +25°C and a nozzel pressure of 35bar
